Course Description
The VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Therapies for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 3 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add skin rejuvenation to their repertoire of treatment offerings.
Learners are required to hold a level 3 beauty therapy qualification or equivalent.
This qualification is informed by employers, providers, and has been designed to meet the guidance provided by professional and regulatory bodies. It includes all the required elements to work effectively as a skin rejuvenation practitioner. Learners must achieve all mandatory units, which encompass the competencies and standards outlined by professional and regulatory bodies, ensuring practitioners can evidence their competence, commitment to public safety, and adherence to agreed standards of practice. This qualification also integrates the professional and regulatory bodies guidelines for skin rejuvenation procedures, emphasising professionalism and health and safety. Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include:
• Principles, practices and ethical considerations for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Consultative techniques in advanced aesthetic therapies
• Dermatological science for advanced aesthetic therapies
• Provide skin needling treatments for skin rejuvenation
• Provide superficial chemical peels for skin rejuvenation
The course will cover:
- Learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4, non-medical aesthetic therapies.
- They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing skin rejuvenation treatments.
